Anne McCartney's second solo show emphasizing the significance of people and places in her artwork. Anne has found her travels especially inspiring. Her trips allow her time to step back and gaze at the world around her. Her paintings capture people who have inspired her art and details of places that have caught her eye; the light, the architectural detail, or the posture of a person. This bright series showcase special moments and all the things that inspire Anne while travelling.
Anne has had many solo shows and has participated in groups shows with the Society of Western Canadian Artists, Edmonton Art Club and others. Her paintings hang in many homes across Canada, the United States and Europe. Anne loves the freshness of watercolor and the commitment one needs to make to the page when starting. Anne's artwork is bright and inviting, full of subtle details and light.
