Where has the year gone?

Hard to believe it’s been about a year since I last sat down to write. What a wonderfully busy year it’s been. I’ve had amazing opportunities to exhibit my work in such locations as Bulgaria, China, Canada (Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton) Greece, and the Unites States, (NYC, San Diego, Kenosha). I was even able to pick up a couple of awards along the way. I’ve met so many magnificent people at the exhibitions I’ve been able to attend; it’s been wonderful to make connections like that. I’ve been fortunate enough to be published several times this year, which is always a thrill. I’ve had a blast teaching; workshops and privately. I love to spread the wonders of watercolour, as it’s such a cool medium! Volunteering for Fort Edmonton and the Historical Society, painting their carousel rides has also taking up some time since spring. It’s always enjoyable doing this work but the special part for me is painting along side one of my daughters, who is helping out as well. Now, as fall is done and winter is here, I find myself back in the studio excited by some new pieces that I see taking me in a new direction, more details later. :)
On a personal note, one of my favourite things this year was witnessing one of my daughter’s getting married. What a joy to see this young couple so ready and happy to start their new life together.
So, as I mentioned, life is busy and wonderful… I hope this year has brought you many happy moments as well, and the new year to come is full of wonderful surprises and constant wellness.
Wishing you all a great holiday season.

I am an artist currently living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada... I love to paint! My favourite medium is watercolour. My favourite way to spend a day would be to be outside with fellow artists sketching or painting. AAAHHH! I have been fortunate enough to do what I love as a career, spending many hours in my home studio painting the days away. Some of my 'successes' hang in homes and corporations around North America, Europe and Asia. I hope you enjoy the pieces I have to share with you.
